A grandmother from a Roma community decides to break the traditions, and gets a job as a public janitor to be able to afford new clothes for her grandchild. This decision leads to a conflict with the community members and she is excluded from the community. But her problems don’t stop there. On the day of the first salary, other complications arise. The money is on a bank card, and Marietta is illiterate. She’s robbed, but the police also arrest her.
