POJECT Boro / Ramiz

The film traces the story of the iconic Palace of Youth and Sports in Prishtina, Kosovo, formerly named “Boro and Ramiz” after World War II partisans. This monumental building sits at the intersection between the history of former Yugoslavia and the creation of new national identities, acting as a lens to consider complex issues related to collective and personal memory. The young Serbian director from Belgrade engages in dialogue with several generations of Prishtina citizens, with the quest to re-examine fragmented history and preserve memories of this iconic building and public space. The nonlinear journey through the decades of its existence includes her personal experience with the building.
