Ivana Janošev graduated masters studies at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad. In 2014 she directed ,,Ice cream’’ in the profesional theatre for the young in Novi Sad (Pozorište mladih), based on Miro Gavran’s same named drama. In 2015 she directed a short documentary ,,Dead capital’’ which got a prize at the Artorium festival in Slovakia, and specail mention award at the Microfaf festival in 2018. During 2016 and 2017 she directed a popular tv comedy show ,,Dnevnjak’’ on RTV. In 2016 she graduated with the theatre play Endgame, by Samuel Beckett. During 2017 she directed a monodrama ,,Anna’’ based on Leo Tolstoys Anna Karenina (now playing from time to time in the Serbian National Theatre) and Grey Gardens based on the documentary Grey Gardens (which was also played in the Serbian National Theatre). At the Festival of monodrama for children she won the award for the originally written monodrama. As a director’s assistant she worked on the theatre play ,,Evgenije Onjegin’’ directed by Boris Liješević and ,,Put oko sveta za 60 sekundi’’ directed by Mia Knežević. In 2018 she directed a theatre play in Novi Sad Cultural Centre ,,Letters of freedom’’. Since November 2018 she is in charge of film acquisitions is 888 films prouction company.
PROJECT A Dog’s Life
The director, also the protagonist of the story shows us an in depth look into her life with her newly puppy Carlitos, that she has found on the street and their deep personal inner life after the trauma she has faced being accused and presented in the public as a dog harraser after a video of her and the dog went viral.
